Ipsy Review: January 2016

Another great company I subscribe to similar to Birchbox is Ipsy. Sometimes (rarely) I get the same products, but that's okay because if it's something I truly love, I'll have two of them! This month's glam bag includes an interesting combination of products for me. A few I can see myself using, and some I would have to have time to consider. Here's what I learned about the products individually and what my experiences with them:

theBalm's new collection of Mr. Write (Now) eyeliners deliver a long-lasting wear that have built-in sharpeners! Whaaaaat. They offer 8 various shades and have a satin smooth texture that is easy on the eyes. I personally did not like the color that I received. I tend to stay away from metallic colors on the eyes just because I like to do neutrals with a pop of color on the lips for work. I think it's a great color for someone who is a little more bold than me. ($17)

English Leaf Body Cream by Mitchell and Peach is one that contains cocoa butter, organic english honey, and Vitamin E that protects and nourishes the skin. It is scented with a leafy fragrance and absorbs nicely without stickiness. This I can see myself using ~ love the scent! (ยฃ17)

Hikari Cosmetics' Cream Pigment Metallic Shadow is a cream-to-powder eyeshadow that is highly pigmented and long-lasting. It feels super lightweight on the eyes and goes on easily. I tried it out on my hand, liked it. Tried it on my eyes, loved it. I had no issues with falling extras when I applied it. ($13)

The smudge brush by Beau Gรขchisยฎ Paris is great for smokey looks! It grabs the right amount of eyeshadow without leaving fallen extras below the eye. It gives you better control with its short bristles and eco-friendly wooden handle. More brushes?! I'll take it. Another one. ($12)

pur~lisse BLUE LOTUS 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum is an eye serum that works against wrinkles, dark circles, dehydration, and puffiness. One of its features and benefits is an antioxdiant with anti-inflammatory that combats skin damage. You apply it around the eye daily and nightly with a small pump of its serum. I have not tried it long enough to share my true personal experience with it, but I will make sure to keep you guys updated! ($65)
